My friend Tara just finished designing and stitching a lovely cross stitch sampler based on the London Underground. She included station names, sections of maps, and the Underground typeface, but my favorite detail is the patterns in the corners--they're based on the actual upholstery used for seats on the trains.

I forgot to mention the other pillowcase my sister made last month. She's the one on the right, holding the pillowcase made of Hello Kitty fabric (made for my niece Elisabeth). Casey is on the left, holding a Seahawks-themed pillowcase she made.

I have lots of crafty friends who don't have blogs, but still want to finish a project a month in 2012. So I'm going to post photos of the projects they finish here.

My very glamorous sister Anna made two pillowcases in January. This one is for my nephew, James (note her shiny, shiny toes at the bottom of the image--toldja she's glamorous):

OPAM 2012

So, I joined a web thing called "One Project a Month 2012". It's supposed to encourage crafters to finish at least one project every month this year. I had to take my blog out of sleep mode to join. But I have finished 2 projects! Photos as soon as my cell phone recharges.
